Pisang Hijau (Green Banana)



Entering the holy month of Ramadan who lived a few days longer, green banana cake can serve as an alternative light appetizer dish fasting later in Indonesian tradition. Every years we also make a some cake that you never eat it before. You can try it this cake that origin from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Only in Delicious Indonesian Cake . . .


Materials:

175 grams rice flour, sifted
50 grams sago flour
1/2 tsp salt
100 ml of suji leaf water
6 pieces ripe plantain
300 ml of water
1/2 drops of green dye

Sauce:

800 ml coconut milk from 1 coconut grated
50 grams rice flour
75 grams sugar
1 sheet of pandan leaves, conclude 1/4 tsp salt

Supplemental Materials:

Shaved ice to taste
Cocopandan syrup 100 ml, ready to use (can use other flavors of syrup, depending on your taste)
100 ml of sweetened condensed milk

How to make:

1. Combine rice flour, salt, water, water suji leaves, and green coloring and stir. Cook over low heat until boiling while stirring, stirring so that the dough does not grained. Lift.
2. Enter sago flour a little and stir until smooth. Divide the dough into 6 parts. Round and trimmed up to 1/2 cm.
3. Cover each banana with rice flour dough until all parts closed flat.
4. Boil bananas in the boiling water until the float and the dough is cooked. Lift. Drain. Set aside.
5. To Porridge: Combine milk, flour, sugar, pandan leaves and salt and stir well. Cook over medium heat while stirring, stirring until thick. Lift.
6. For Serving: Cut green bananas. Put it on a serving plate. Pour the slurry. Add shaved ice, syrup, and sweetened condensed milk.
7. Green banana ice ready to be served and enjoyed.

Klepon (Tiny Green Ball)



Sweet, chewy and sticky with Javanese sugar melting on the tongue. Klepon including snack cake market has been widely recognized. Usually it can be purchased in traditional markets. Using banana leaf containers or packed in a small plastic. And you can enjoy with a cup of coffee. We name it Tiny Green Ball. Only in Delicious Indonesian Cake . . .

Leather Klepon (Tiny Green Ball):

100 grams of sugar
150 ml of water
50 ml of suji leaf water (from 30  leaves 1 pandan and suji in a blender and filtered)
1/4 tsp salt
200 grams white glutinous rice flour
30 grams white butter
100 grams grated coconut


Fill Klepon (Tiny Green Ball):

300 grams potatoes, steamed, peeled, mashed
100 ml coconut milk
50 grams sugar
1 pandan leaves
1/4 tsp salt

How to make Klepon (Tiny Green Ball):


Contents: 
Mix all ingredients contents, cook over low heat until smooth. Allow to cool. Form small balls (about 1/2 tsp). Set aside.

Skin: 
Heat the sugar and 150 ml of water until the sugar dissolves to form 100 ml of fluid. Lift. Add water suji leaves, and salt and stir well. Pour into glutinous rice flour. Stir well. Steam for 20 minutes in the bowl / heat resistant dish. Lift.
In hot conditions-heat, beat with mixer while plus white butter until the mixture becomes smooth. Wait until the mixture cool a little before formed.
Take a bit of dough, flatten. Give the content. Round shape. Roll into grated coconut.

Ready to serve in 10 portion . . .
